- At the end of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (film) it was announced that The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair (film) would be the next film in the series, but 20th Century Fox and Walden Media changed their minds and decided to make The Chronicles of Narnia: The Magician's Nephew the next film instead. However, in May 2012, Douglas Gresham stated that The Silver Chair would be the next film produced and in Oct. 2013 it was announced that the C.S. Lewis Company had partnered with the Mark Gordon Company to produce that film.
- In 2018 it was announced that Netflix had purchased the rights to produce TV & film adaptations of all the seven Chronicles. Meaning it's safe to say that The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair (film) and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Magician's Nephew have both been cancelled.
