Bloody stupid church people! I remember they said the same thing about Harry Potter, but that didn't stop them making the films and earning a fortune! Seriously, church people...take a look at most of the movies and TV shows that have been put up on the screen in recent years. Compared to them, the MN would be pretty tame. Besides, it's a FICTIONAL story! Are those people so desperate for something to do that they're making a fuss over a stupid kid's book and film???
I'm surprised Atheists would make a fuss over it, though. I mean, aren't they supposed to be against religion more or less? So why should they care if they make MN or not?
This also makes me worry about the next Narnia film, assuming there is one? Are they just going to delete the MN from the movie franchise altogether because of all this blaspthemy mumbo jumbo? Because that was one of the best books, second to LWW in my opinion (and a lot of other Narnia fans)! If anything, that might have helped bring the franchise back up. Silver Chair Reboot
Quote: "No, it’s all going to be a brand new franchise. All original. All original characters, different directors, and an entire new team that this is coming from."
I can understand why they can't get the original actors, as Will Poultor is way past school age, and Ben Barnes and he are both busy with other commitments.
Quote: "Presumably, Aslan will have to be recast."
Aslan has to be recast! How come? Even if they want to do a fresh take, why go to all the trouble of recasting a guy who did a great Aslan? I mean, it's not as if they ever saw his real face.
