Is it really necessary to pint out that the lamp-post has roots on the bottom? EdmundtheJust 01:50, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

If anybody knows of anything that C.S. Lewis is documented as having said or written regarding the eventual fate of the lamp-post I would love to hear about it.  Please post it here.  Thanks. CrazyUncleRyan (talk) 22:33, February 22, 2013 (UTC)

Not that I know of, though it seems likely that it lasted until Aslan ended the Narnian world, considering that we know it lasted at least 1015 out of 2555 years of Narnian history. It also seems like the kind of thing that's important enough that its demise would be noted if it had occurred. Lasaraleen Tarkheena (talk) 07:40, February 23, 2013 (UTC)

Well, I find it very unlikely that it did survive that long since most of the action of The Last Battle takes place in Lantern Waste and there is no mention of the lamp-post.  I was just hoping that there was something specific he said.CrazyUncleRyan (talk) 17:28, February 25, 2013 (UTC)

Keep in mind that the lamp-post was the absolute westernmost edge of Lantern Waste; it would be reasonable for all the events in LB to take place a little bit farther within Narnia's borders, far enough away from the lamp-post itself that it might not be mentioned. Unfortunately, no. I guess it was just another one of those little bits of info that Lewis forgot to include in his final Narnia book, which we'll just have to guess about.    Storyseeker1 (talk) 00:06, February 26, 2013 (UTC)
