A Narnian Shield
Shields are plates of metal or wood that are used by soldiers in Narnia as a form of defense from enemy attack. They are most commonly used together with swords in battle, as spears and bows require two hands to use.
Shields usually have a coat of arms, of the nation that the warriors belongs to, on them. For example, the Narnian shields are made of shining silver metal with a red lion in the middle. Peter was given such a shield, along with his sword Rhindon, from Father Christmas.
Prince Rilian's shield is black while he is enslaved by the Lady of the Green Kirtle, but when Jill Pole mentions the name of Aslan, it becomes a Narnian shield like Peter's.
