History[]

It's mentioned that the King of Narnia led an army in resistance of Jadis but was defeated by her dark magic. Therefore marking the beginning of the Age of Winter and Jadis' reign over Narnia.[citation needed]

Throughout the Chronicles[]

Main article: Winter Revolution

The first known army was started by Aslan during the Winter Revolution for their fight against the White Witch. The most important battle fought by Narnia's army is the First Battle of Beruna, where they defeat the White Witch and her army.

Fourteen years after, Narnia fought alongside the army of King Lune of Archenland against Prince Rabadash of Calormen and his army, who sought to conquer Archenland. One year later after Calormen were defeated, the Pevensies left Narnia and returned to their world.

Almost a thousand years later, Narnia's army fought but lost against the people of Telmar, led by Caspian I, as they invaded the country and thus beginning the Telmarine Dynasty. About three hundred years later, the Pevensies returned and allied themselves with Caspian X to defeat the Telmarines. In the years that followed, during Caspian's reign, he and his army conquered Ettinsmoor and more islands in the Great Eastern Ocean.

Main article: Battle of Stable Hill

After nearly two hundred and fifty years of peace, the Calormene army totally conquered the Narnian Empire in the Battle of Stable Hill. After this battle, Aslan decided to bring Narnia's history to an end, and had all the soldiers, commanders, generals and Kings of Narnia follow him into Aslan's Country, the "Real Narnia".
