Template:Race Minoboars were creatures that were part-man and part-boar, similiar to a Minotaur.
Film
In the 2005 film The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, they served the White Witch during the Long Winter. Several of these creatures were present at the Stone Table where they witnessed the death of Aslan, before joining her army to fight at the Battle of Beruna. A few of them were also at the White Witch's camp.
Behind the Scenes
- Minoboars are not in the books, they are only found in the Disney and Walden media film version of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and in the video game based on the movie. In the demo version of the video game for Prince Caspian, Minoboars fight with the Old Narnians against King Miraz and the Telmarine army for the freedom of Narnia.
Trivia
- Minoboars only feature in Disney adaptative works, since they don't appear in the illustrated books. However, in one full colored illustration of the Deluxe Edition of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, two hairy, bipedal, boar-headed creatures appear amongst the White Witch's minions at Aslan's sacrifice. This may have inspired the film makers to create Minoboars.
- Minoboars were not in the 2008 Disney film, Prince Caspian. However, they were in the video game.
