Marsh-wiggle

The Marsh-wiggles were a race of frog-like humanoids that inhabited the marshlands near the River Shribble in the northern parts of the World of Narnia. They had green-grey straw-like heir, large ears, long legs and arms, and frog like webbed hands and feet. Some such as Puddleglum also had a muddy complexion. They generally had a pessimistic view on life. They lived in small structures called Wigwams. Marsh-wiggles liked their privacy, so their wigwams were spread far apart from each other. They ate things like eel stew and considered their food poisonous for humans, though it really was not poisonous at all. They smoked a stange short of heavy tabacco, said by some to be mixed with mud. The Owls considered them the only people that could help Jill Pole and Eustace Scrubb reach the Ruined City of the Giants.
