Azim Balda was a city in the Calormene Empire. It was described by Aravis Tarkheena as being "at the meeting of many roads". There was a good post system there, with all the Tarkaans being able to send messages to others. This was done by the many messengers, including the Chief of the Messengers in the house of Imperial Posts. Aravis went to the Chief of Messengers to send a message to her father in the words of Ahoshta_(books) to explain her disappearance.
